Botanicool
An invitation to discover the flora of our home on the Côte d’Azur. The collection features illustrations of some of the characteristic species of Alpes-Maritimes and it’s inspired by the plants that enliven every ride we take from our base in Nice.
The images were commissioned from Olga Pylaieva, a Ukranian artist, and recall both the precision and beauty of nineteenth-century botanical drawings as well as classic floral fashion prints.
Theme one features sweet oranges (Citrus Sinensis) and oleander (Nerium Oleander) flowers, both found on the coastal lowlands, while a second design features stone pines (Pinus Pinea) and chanterelle mushrooms (Cantharellus), as found in the mountains and upland valleys.
