As part of this upcoming news, we're happy to announce that Cafe du Cycliste will be riding many of the local sportives - cyclos in 2012. Stade Laurentin cyclisme promote the La Laurentine in memory of Andrei Kivilev, a local to the Nicoise cycling scene, who lost his life in a crash during the Paris - Nice of 2003.

We'll be sharing the road with an international contigent of riders - professional and amateur. Be sure to join us there!

l'Eroica

Toscany - Italy

We will be at the 27th édition of l’EROICA with a booth to meet all the old-school cycling fans. L’Eroica race runs on gravel roads in the heart of Toscany. Riding with 80s bikes, fuelled by good Italian food and wine…back to the golden era of cycling for a week-end.

THE ART OF GPS CONTEST

From May 15th to June 15th

We're looking for riders to explore and create cartographic art whilst having fun outdoors on bicycles using the landscape and the tools at their disposal.

Summit the Art of GPS from our ride and win a Cafe du Cycliste kit. Your submission may be of a single ride, or of a multitude of rides – the more creative are more likely to be selected as finalists

Rich Scales - Sponsored Rider

We are excited to announce Rich Scales as Cafe du Cycliste's first sponsored rider.

Rich is a very talented athlete, who has lived on the Cote d'Azur for 9 years.  He epitomizes the Cafe du Cycliste motto of "Perform on the road, be chic in the city". A key member of OCC Antibes, Rich not only has a great talent himself, but helps to inspire and encourage young new talent.

For 2012 Rich will once again be racing the Haute Route - a gruelling 7 day sportive from Geneva to Nice. Rich was one half of the winning Dual Mens team in 2011, and is looking for a repeat performance in 2012.

Rich will wear our JOSEPHINE bibshort, YOLANDE jersey and our new MADELEINE gilet. We'll also be developing some great new products with Rich's input.
