KING AND QUEEN OF THE CAR PARK.

Montmartre Vélo Club’s annual Kermesse de Joe is a hill-climb race in a multi-storey car park…

Somewhere in the northern suburbs of Paris, something is up, and the situation is escalating. The Montmartre Vélo Club is holding its annual race up a multi-storey car park, the Kermesse de Joe.
Four storeys of climbing, turning left, left and left again, an infernal corkscrew that tests the legs and lungs of club members as they race one-versus-one to the top. At the top is the workshop of club member Joe – that's how the race got its name!

Spin to win is the name of the game and there is no second place.

With a buffet and games to play, it was a family day out as much as a cutthroat race. A club getting together in sport and friendship. And settling a few scores, naturally.
The day ends with a buffet and a fire, as the sun sets over the Paris skyline. Congratulations to Thomas and Véronique, who fought valiantly to be crowned King and Queen of the Car Park 2026!
