Bikepacking. Adventure cycling. Brevet. Audax. There may be no umbrella term that covers every variation of exploring this world by bicycle, because in reality it’s each to their own.
Riding the TNR leads to the conclusion that the sweet-spot of riding bikes in the mountains exists somewhere between two and three thousand meters above sea level.
That stretch of road that triggers the wanderlust, and that offers a view to the mountains to spark ideas for the weekend when time allows for higher mountains, bigger loops and deeper exploration.
There is a fourth climb registered with the Club des Cingles du Ventoux. But we planned a different ride, starting from Bédoin, up and over to Malaucène, riding the gravel immediately and almost the whole way to the top.

It is just my surroundings, my bike and me. This makes the sport so highly meditative for me and moves me over and over again in a state of complete flow.
